Mothers' Milk Bank Colorado

The Mothers’ Milk Bank Colorado safely screens, collects, processes and dispenses donated human milk as a community service, providing human milk to babies whose own mothers cannot supply the milk to meet their baby’s needs.

“Donor milk meant the difference between life and death for my baby. Lacey would not have made it without it." -- Milk Bank Recipient Mom

Human milk is a miracle. It is one that can and should be shared. The components of our milk are unmatched by any commercial formula: immune properties, growth factors, hormones, enzymes and many other factors that optimize the health of infants are present.

A program of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, the Mothers' Milk Bank is one of 13 operating donor human milk banks in North America. In 2011 and 2012 the Mothers' Milk Bank Colorado provided more milk to hospitals than any other non-profit milk bank. The milk is sent to 120 different hospitals in 24 states supplying milk to babies across the country that have allergies to formula, certain illnesses or need human milk to thrive.

Every drop of milk that is donated to HMBANA Milk Bank is charity. Other for-profit organizations may tell you about the millions of dollars they have donated to specific charities. HMBANA banks ARE the charity. Why give your milk to an organization that has an extra million dollars over and above what their stock holders are paid, when you can give directly to a non-profit Milk Bank?

The Mothers' Milk Bank Colorado is a member of and adheres to the strict guidelines established by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America.
