Mothers' Milk Bank

The Mothers’ Milk Bank screens, collects, processes and dispenses donated human milk as a community service, providing human milk to babies whose own mothers cannot supply the milk to meet their baby’s needs.

“Donor milk meant the difference between life and death for my baby. Lacey would not have made it without it." -- Milk Bank Recipient Mom

Human milk is a miracle. It is one that can and should be shared. The components of donated milk are unmatched by any commercial formula: immune properties, growth factors, hormones, enzymes and many other factors that optimize the health of infants are present.

A program of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, the Mother’s Milk Bank is one of 12 operating donor human milk banks in North America. In 2011, the Mothers Milk Bank in Denver provided more milk to hospitals than any other bank. The milk is sent to over 80 different hospitals in 24 states supplying milk to babies across the country that have allergies to formula, certain illnesses or need human milk to thrive.

Every drop of milk that is donated to HMBANA Milk Bank is charity. Other for-profit organizations may tell you about the millions of dollars they have donated to specific charities. HMBANA banks ARE the charity. Why give your milk to an organization that has an extra million dollars over and above what their stock holders are paid, when you can give directly to a non-profit Milk Bank?

The Mothers' Milk Bank is a member of and adheres to the strict guidelines established by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America.
